Aishwarya Biography is her first biographical novel. She tells her story as a young girl growing up in Bengali society in India. Aishwarya’s mother has taken her to Swaraj Manor, a boys’ school. She tells how Aishwarya suffered from severe physical and mental abuse at the hands of her father during her childhood years.
In this novel Aishwarya goes on to narrate her experiences at the hands of her abusive father. The abuse Aishwarya endured at the hands of her father would include physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Aishwarya describes how she was repeatedly asked” Where’s your father?” by her classmates at the Swaraj Manor and that she was never given an answer to her begging to be told.
Aishwarya was married twice to abusive husbands. She was made to go through sexual harassment at the wedding, being subject to the “honorary rape”. She was forced to marry a man whom she barely knew and was made to live with him. After Aishwarya went missing from home, her father blamed her for her marriage and sent her to Dharamsala in India to recover from her injuries.

Aishwarya was abused even more when she returned to India and decided to live in Rishikesh. She describes how she was subjected to mental and physical torture by her new husband. Her writing also includes her experience of Rishikesh and her views on religion and society in general. Aishwarya says that while she has faith in the divine plan of God, she is yet disappointed with the lack of compassion shown by humans towards each other.
The book has been published just ahead of Aishwarya’s first book, Swarajya (also translated as Sun or Star). As with Aishwarya’s first book, Swarajya was not a best seller but it did garner critical acclaim. It includes poems and song lyrics, notably ‘How Can We Love When There is War?’ and the poem ‘The Message of a Girl’.
