Amy is best known for playing the character of Rosemary in the television series Glee.
The name of Amy Brennan is quite simply; she is the daughter of a two-term New Jersey Superior Court judge named Samuel B. Brennan. According to the TV show Glee, Amy was born in Glastonbury, Connecticut on June 22, 1964. She was described as a very shy, slightly sweet girl, who was interested in chemistry, but not particularly bright. She graduated from high school in the fall of 1962, but dropped out of college after one semester. She lived in New Jersey for the next four years, working various jobs including truck driver, mail carrier, tutor, and lifeguard.

Amy then went to graduate school at the University of New Mexico, in Albuquerque. During this time, she also gained a degree in environmental law from the University of California, in Los Angeles. Following graduation, she worked as a legal assistant in a Santa Fe law firm but quit that job in early 1970 to pursue acting full-time. By this time, she had established herself as an actress in more than one films, including “All about Eve,” “Man on the Moon,” “My Fair Lady,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.”
Amy has gone on to play different characters in different types of dramas over the years, including police women, a press conference speaker, a corporate executive, a flight attendant, and a vampire. She has also been nominated multiple times for awards for her acting career, most notably for her performance as the Governor of New York in the movie “A Woman for Every Man” with Bill Murray. The interesting part about Amy is that she generally only has one line in the film, the one scene where the Governor stands on stage reading his acceptance speech for the governorship. Even though it’s her only major role, she certainly didn’t get nominated if her acting abilities weren’t impressive enough! Maybe it’s because the rest of the supporting cast played such a huge part in the success of the film, or maybe it’s just because Amy is a wonderful actress, capable of playing many different roles.
Amy has been married to geography teacher Mark Appel for several years, and they have two children. They met when Amy was working at a summer camp for young people in New Hampshire when she decided to move in with Mark and stay with him for a couple of years. They have three children, ages six, four, and two, and have been raising them in accordance with their faith. Amy has lived in New Hampshire all her life, going to public school in the towns of Berkeley and Medford, but she says that it wasn’t until she started reading comparative religion books that she really began to understand the importance of her decision to move to New Hampshire.
Amy is currently earning a very good salary as an actress and television producer in the major cities of New Hampshire and Maine. She lives in Beverly Hills with her two children. Her family is full of strong believers, and she has always been open minded about religion and the role of religion in our modern society. Amy was raised in a household where religion was very important, and she shared her views on religion with her parents throughout her childhood years. Hopefully we will see many more Amy Brenneman films in the future.
