Ashley Hinshaw was born in North Carolina and grew up in Murrellsville, Virginia. She is an accomplished writer, speaker, consultant, and speaker. She has written five books of varying lengths, including a children’s book about the value of gratitude. In September of 2021 Ashley Hinshaw suffered a stroke that resulted in a paralyzed right side leg. Doctors discovered that Ashley had a calcium deficiency, and that it was responsible for her stroke. Ashley spent the next eleven months recuperating at home but was forced to relearn basic motor skills after her accident. She passed all of the medical tests required for the procedure and was discharged from the hospital in the early part of November. The following day she traveled to Louisiana to speak at a conference on the dangers of heart disease and decided to pass on her dream of becoming an actress to move forward with her passion.

The highlights of her story included the dates, the physical therapy that involved both manual and electric wheelchairs, and finally her dream of becoming an actress had been cancelled.
