She began a musical career in which she released six albums throughout the decade, including her self-titled debut album in 2021. “When the Saints Go Marching In” is a relatively brief number, but it makes up for it with its flawless melody and steady, danceable beat. Christina Aguilera’s voice is warm and melodic, lending a bit of credibility to the track. On her own guitar, she plays the opening chords, slowly building the melody until she repeats them. The verses build the song’s strength by building upon the refrain. This is a basic rundown of Christina Aguilera’s skills as a singer: keep the basics simple, but make them singable.

“When The Saints Go Marching In” doesn’t quite reach the greatness of “When the Saints Go Marching Out” from her first album, Paper Planes, but it does a fine job of keeping the same spirit of the previous album. Unlike “When the Saints Go Marching Out”, “When the Saints Go Marching In” doesn’t have a chorus; it’s just quiet and slow paced. The lyrics are more upbeat than the previous album, though. Christina Aguilera’s talent for writing great pop songs has always been present in her music, but this album shows her ability to expand on that talent.

“Is not It Funny” is a wonderful track from Christina Aguilera’s second album, Carnival. It would have been a better choice to have been included on that album instead of This is What You Get, but it fits nicely with the other songs. While this isn’t a chart-topping hit like the aforementioned songs, it still is a very likable Christina Aguilera song. This is definitely one of her best works to date.

Finally, Christina Aguilera returns with “Hips Don’t Lie” from her third album entitled Ways I Know. This is definitely a good song and one that has been covered by Christina Aguilera before, but it doesn’t reach the heights of her previous work. It is a good introduction to her songs that show her versatility in using different instruments and expressing herself musically. In general, Christina Aguilera is a pop music artist that has yet to be categorized as a finalist. However, given her performances on different award shows over the years, including both the MTV European Music Awards and the BET Hip-hop Music Awards, she has definitely built enough of a reputation to be considered one.
