In 1980, Edie Adams drove her Cadillac into a cement plant in Kingston, New York while attempting to cross the street. Her car became trapped in the cement as it was being lowered into the hole. As the car plummeted to the ground, it broke open and started to turn upside down. Luckily, no one was hurt in the accident, and Edie was able to get out of the vehicle unhurt. Fortunately, she wasn’t hurt in the accident, but was found hours later sitting in a chiropractor’s office, unable to move any of her limbs.
It was not until a limo driver saw Edie waiting in the chiropractor’s office that he called 911, after seeing the shattered glass of her car. The emergency crew arrived at the scene immediately and took Edie to Beth Israel Medical Center, where doctors quickly determined that she had suffered a broken neck and a punctured vertebrae. She was later treated for both injuries and pneumonia, as well as taking some time off from work. She later passed away from natural causes at the age of 31.
