Early Life Lizzy Caplan was actually born to an English mother, Elizabeth Anne Caplan. She was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on 30 June 1982. She is the eldest child of Richard Caplan, a well-known lawyer, and Barbara Bragman, who was an assistant political adviser.

After her parents divorced, Lizzy attended the University of Utah, graduating in the fall of that year. Lizzy studied drama and journalism, and while at the university she also developed a love for film, and even appeared in one movie after another, earning herself a name as a rising Hollywood star. Lizzy played the lead role in the film, playing the role of a promiscuous girl who goes undercover at a prom with a bunch of other teens hoping to get involved in her big event.
