Meenakshi Biography has always been one of the most interesting sections of any book on Meenakshi Yoga. Meenakshi is one of the eight daughters of King Gopi who reigns as the Lord of Kashi (or Sun God) in modern day Nepal. Meenakshi’s brothers are Dashmool and Kranjibhai who also act as her foster father and mother respectively. Meenakshi was born to Kashi while she was still a young girl and became a dedicated devotee of Kashi, as she believed that he had miraculous powers.
Meenakshi’s life is full of mystery and intrigue as she attempts to uphold the honour of her family. As a young woman Meenakshi Braut was forced by her family to wear a Bra size that was stipulated by the Indian court. Braut was not able to match the beauty of Surya Padmanabha and was forced to live with the Brahmins of her house as she was forbidden to wear the much larger Jhilam or Saraswatar in public. Meenakshi Braut would therefore have an unhappy childhood that was marred by illness and constant pain as she struggled to conform to the socially restrictive norms of her time

Meenakshi was married to Banabhadra, a well to do merchant, who was equally wealthy and prominent in his day. Meenakshi took to wearing the small Saraswatar (Bras) which was very much in fashion during this period and was also given to Meenakshi by her husband. However, as time progressed Meenakshi slowly began to withdraw from the public eye and concentrate her efforts on the study of yoga in all its many forms. Meenakshi’s greatest regret in life was the fact that her bra size gradually became smaller and she was unable to find any other women who were willing to accept her as their rightful bride into the family of Meenakshi.
Meenakshi was no doubt an extremely beautiful woman who had a natural beauty that could light up a room. Her exquisite features and flawless complexion won over many men within the first few months of their engagement. Meenakshi’s beauty was such that even her groom was forced to admit that he had fallen head over heels in love with Meenakshi. Meenakshi was no doubt an incredibly accomplished lady who knew how to dress well and stand together with dignity. Meenakshi’s father, a well to do merchant family was not only concerned about Meenakshi’s growing size but also worried that Meenakshi would become an example to younger women of the stranglehold that the Indian society placed on women. The family had always been a well-knit family, but they felt that Meenakshi’s increasing weight would have a negative impact on her child bearing abilities.
Meenakshi’s parents decided to allow Meenakshi to undergo an augmentation with implants that would increase her bust size by one hundred thirty-seven pounds. This was an extreme step for Meenakshi at the time but it was the only way that they felt that they could trust the young Meenakshi. Meenakshi lived for her beauty and her new found life with Meenakshi. Meenakshi biographers speculate that Meenakshi may have been depressed over the loss of her parents, but she quickly made a new friend in Mme.
Meenakshi was soon cast as the romantic lead in her new life as Mme. Meenakshi was an avid learner and Meenakshi’s mother was not at all worried about her daughter’s attitude because Meenakshi was constantly reading books and keeping up to date on current affairs. Meenakshi’s life was very exciting and Brahmins loved every second of it.
