Savera Nadeem, known to Pakistani audiences as Sardar Sarafyan, is famous Pakistani actresses. She rose to fame after appearing in the immensely successful Mina Khatam (Blue), about a young girl who travels to New York to live with her abusive father. The film won several film awards, including the best film ever made by a Pakistani, at the 2001 Oscars. Since then, Savera has gone on to star in a number of successful films, including Pir Ka Dassa, Zorrat Khan, Asgar and Kahara Jafar.
Savera Nadeem was born in Peshawar, Pakistan, the capital city of Pakistan. Her younger sister Mina was married to a movie producer from India, Rajkumar Kohli. Savera’s brother Premo was an actor and singer who had an incredibly successful career on both screens and stage. Savera Nadeem was raised in a middle-class family in Peshawar. She is described as a very religious person and the first female drama actress to get a role in a mainstream Indian movie when she appeared in the critically acclaimed Pir Ka Dassa.

Savera Nadeem’s first major break in the film industry came with the release of her first feature film, Asgar. She was an integral part of the production team that held by A Sahoo. She later became a producer as well and produced her first horror film, Ghaziabad. Savera Nadeem was nominated for an Oscar and went on to star in her first ever film in 75 years when she starred alongside Dabney Coleman in the Italian film, Anastasia.
In order to continue her career in the film industry Savera Nadeem went to Pakistan and worked on a number of low budget movies. However, it was in the late 70s when Savera Nadeem finally got to make her own name and come back to the big screen in a big way when she starred alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the action/adventure film, Ka Kailash. Her talent is recognized in Pakistan and is celebrated with various functions and parties all across the country. In fact, when Savera Nadeem announced that she was going to retire from acting, people lined up to pay her last respects.
Savera Nadeem today has her own daytime talk show called a tv which is watched by millions of viewers. She is also married tooos. Her son is the chief editor at a daily newspaper, while her daughter holds the position of vice president of a charity organization. Savera Nadeem’s last film as an actor was a movie called Dhanbad, in which she played the title role. The film was based on the story of a girl who was cursed and went crazy.
Today, Savera Nadeem has established a name for herself in the entertainment industry and is known for her various roles in serials, melodramas and even in comedies. Her first and foremost achievement in the field of television is Qaid-e-Nadeem, which was a popular serials telecast in the 1980s. Her other notable teleplay was Pir sharam Kamal in which she starred along with Sharukh Khan. Savera Nadeem has been at the forefront of many successful and prominent films and is one of the best known actresses in the Indian film industry today.
