Veena got married to a man whose real name is Ajit Bhimsen Joshi. Ajit was a renowned surgeon and a member of the royal Indian Royal family. Veena was born in haste, at the age of 21 in an ashram in Kolkata where she was studying to become a nurse.
Veena was studying to become a nurse when she met her first husband, a surgeon by the name of Ajit Bhimsen. He was a well established surgeon and they had two children during that period. Veena was studying to become a nurse in a school when she met her future husband. They were very much in love with each other but due to the distance in their lives and the political situation in India, Veena decided to marry the man who was much closer to her heart, and whom she adored.
